Is the Next Weight-Loss Capsule Already Named?
The future of weight loss is loud, and NA-931 is one name in that conversation: a real sponsor code, not a public four-way capsule recipe.

Is the Next Weight-Loss Capsule Already Named?
The future of weight loss is loud in your feed. Someone holds up an oral capsule, names four hormones, and the comments treat that code like it already shipped.
Here's the kindly fix. NA-931 is a later, murkier oral code on the map we already drew in the live brief Is the Future of Weight Loss Already Here? — a real sponsor name, not a public four-way capsule recipe.
It's a spice jar taped onto a later stop: four names on the label, and a blank line where the teaspoons go. You can read the label, and you still cannot cook from it. Our house rule is Literature, not lore.
What is this code doing on the map?
You do not need the whole ladder again. Labeled pens, an approved oral GLP-1, and late-stage stacks sit earlier on that map.
Biomed Industries is the sponsor, and the nickname is Bioglutide. Captions call it a daily oral capsule hitting IGF-1, GLP-1, GIP, and glucagon, like four equal knobs.
A nickname is not a checkout button. The file under this one is thinner than the caption.
Wait — is this even one molecule?
Yes, if you trust the inventor's patent. No, if you expected four ingredients poured together.
Conference abstracts call NA-931 a small molecule. Trial page NCT06564753 calls it a peptide, gives no sequence, and writes IGF-1 as "Insulin-like Growth Hormone 1." A tiny ring and a four-drug blend do not share a grocery label.
The only published structure is in Lloyd Tran's WO2025160184A1. It says cyclic prolyl glycine, "herein referred as NA-931": glycine and proline, closed into one ring. Chemists call that ring a diketopiperazine, one compound, not four drugs.
Public records for that ring (PubChem CID 126154) list formula C7H10N2O2 and CAS 97011-16-0. Nicknames on that record are NA-831 and Traneurocin, not NA-931.
The patent equates the code with the ring. No outside lab has published an assay of the trial capsule that proves the match.
If your search landed on Biophytis BIO101, also called Sarconeos, walk back out. Different company, different molecule, not this code.
So how is it made?
Not in any recipe you can follow from the public file.
The patent gives no reagents, yields, or step list for NA-931. It only points at known diketopiperazine methods, solution-phase or Merrifield solid-phase, and at textbooks. That is not a batch record.
Natural cyclic glycine-proline is also described as a scrap clipped off IGF-1. That is biology, not a factory method, and not proof the trial capsule was that scrap.
A long peptide sequence on a shop listing, or CAS 136054-22-3, is a different molecule. PubChem puts that CAS on a growth-hormone peptide, not this ring. If you cannot match a lot to a published structure, you have a label, not NA-931.
Where's the four-way split?
There isn't one in public.
GLP-1 is the appetite hormone, GIP is the you-just-ate partner, and glucagon is the energy-use knob on drugs like retatrutide — see the live retatrutide brief. IGF-1 is a growth-factor hormone, and its lock is a different kind than those three.
The patent says the ring "has been found to act as" a quadruple agonist, and that it "regulates the homeostasis" of those four. No potency table sits under that sentence.
There is no public 20/20/20/20 mix, no 25/25/25/25, and no other split either. The amounts are simply not there.
A 2024 company mouse abstract called NA-931 a triple agonist of IGF-1, GLP-1, and GIP. Glucagon showed up as something IGF-1 turns down, not a fourth measured switch.
Later human abstracts add glucagon to the agonist list. There is still no table you could cook from.
Four names on a capsule are not four measured knobs.
What did the human studies actually file?
A sponsor-run Phase 1 and a roughly three-month Phase 2 in Australia are both marked completed. Neither has results posted on ClinicalTrials.gov.
The weight percents in the company abstracts do not agree with each other or with the patent. Same trial code, different percents — that is a tell. See the live brief on how this journal grades evidence.
"No muscle loss" is a sentence in those abstracts. The completed Phase 2 plan measures body weight, not a muscle scan. A later tirzepatide combo talks about body scans and is still not recruiting, even though the estimated start has passed.
Fewer side effects is the same kind of sentence. A safety plan is filed, and a results table is not. You can want the milder story, but the file has not graded it.
The Phase 1 page was posted after that study had already started. Neither that trial nor the completed Phase 2 is flagged as FDA-regulated.
So is it approved?
No.
Nothing in this file is an FDA-approved drug. Phase 3 shows up as a company announcement and a protocol poster, the BIOCOMBO plan included. We did not find a Phase 3 registry record recruiting people as of Oct 2, 2026.
A poster of a plan is not a trial that has started. You've seen the oral lane get ahead of the file before.
The live Orforglipron brief is a real pill that still is not a research vial. NA-931 is later and murkier on the map in the live brief Is the Future of Weight Loss Already Here?
The one thing to remember
NA-931 is a later oral name on the weight-loss map, not a published four-drug recipe. That spice jar still has a blank teaspoon line. The only structure on paper is the inventor calling it cyclic prolyl glycine — one small ring, not a blend.
There is no public potency split, and no published make-it steps. Sponsor weight percents do not match. Phase 2 results are not posted, and it is not approved.
We do not sell this, and a research lot made later would not be the clinical capsule. Match any future lot to its own certificate of analysis — the live COA brief — before you treat the nickname as chemistry.
For what a peptide chain actually is, start with the live peptides-as-short-sentences brief. For the fence, see the live brief on what Research Use Only means. Research Use Only means laboratory research — not a four-knob weight-loss shortcut.
